WitWith Covid-19 currently putting a lot of people’s lives on hold, it can be very easy to only look at the negative things happening in the world. But that doesn’t mean that we should stop looking forward to things to come in the future. I am personally looking forward to getting married next year, hopefully moving into a house and spending time with family and friends, really appreciate every moment that we can spend with each other.
Obviously travelling is currently off-limits, and we are not sure when that is going to change but it doesn’t mean that we can’t think of the places that we might want to travel to. I was very lucky that at the beginning of 2019 I was able to spend several months travelling the world. I got to fly across the world and visit every inch of New Zealand, relax in the sun in Bali, watch the trees dance to music in Singapore, shop in Kuala Lumpur and experience some of the most beautiful moments in Japan. All in all, it was incredible! I visited places that had been on my travelling bucket list ever since I was little wandering through Epcot’s World Showcase.
So I have made a small list of some of the places that I hope to visit at some point in the future.
For years I have been watching a Canadian show called Heartland, have watched many other programmes and films that have been filmed in Canada so much so that I want to explore it. I could go and see the humpback whales, ride horses through the mountains, drive along the country roads. It also happens to have a pretty decent country music scene that I wouldn’t mind checking out.
It is a rather large country, so it would take more than one trip to explore all of it. But that doesn’t sound too bad to me.
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Back when I used to work for Widgety writing destination content I used to love writing about the countries in South America, but the place that I fell in love with as I researched was Buenos Aires in Argentina. The colours of the city, the music, food and culture just drew me in and once I started looking into it I was hooked.
I could definitely see myself gallivanting through the streets in a floral dress, sunhat and glasses as I find delectable restaurants and beautiful little cafes. It looks like a vibrant city that I want to be a part of.
Ever since I was a little girl I have absolutely adored country music. Every time that we went on a family holiday to Florida, I remember driving down the long roads with country music playing on the radio. Whenever my dad was home for work, you could always count on CMT being on the television in the living room. It is thanks to him that I fell in love with this genre.
So, of course, I would want to visit the home of American country music. I would love to go to some of the different clubs and bars that they have with live performances to see some of the up and coming artists, try the food and explore a beautiful city.
Hopefully one day it will be safe enough to travel to all of these places.
